Plug-and-play installation
Give your small business or home the productivity-enhancing
features of a business telephone system without the
high price tag. The KX-TG4000B 4-Line Cordless Telephone
System operates via cordless transmissions, so no expensive
(and messy) wiring or installation is required. Simply
hook up the base to your phone lines and plug it into
an AC outlet. Then, set up the included
KX-TGA400B
handset
in the desired location and plug in the recharging stand.
Up to 7 more optional KX-TGA400B handsets can be added
to the system, either right away or as your needs grow.

All digital voice mail system
with auto attendant
Our convenient, reliable, all-digital voice mail includes
many advanced features you'd only expect from more expensive
systems:
MAILBOXES: The KX-TG4000B offers a general delivery
mailbox on the base unit, plus up to 8 personal mailboxes-one
for each handset. Each user can record a personal greeting,
and can access his/her individual mailbox from any system
handset or an outside line.
AUTO ATTENDANT: Eliminates the need for a receptionist
in your office. Also prevents messages from getting
lost at home. You can set the voice mail system to automatically
answer all incoming calls with a recorded greeting,
and to route callers to their desired extension or mailbox.
SIMULTANEOUS VOICE MAIL OPERATION: The KX-TG4000B's
internal circuitry allows for 4 separate voice paths,
so 4 system users can access voice mail at once. Many
other cordless systems' answering devices only permit
a single voice path, which gives any other user attempting
to retrieve voice mail an annoying busy signal.
100-MINUTE RECORDING TIME: in long recording mode.
AUTO MESSAGE DELETE: Messages left in a mailbox for
longer than 30 days will be automatically deleted.
MESSAGE DELIVERY AND TRANSFER: Users can send a message
to other users' mailboxes with a single operation. And
you can transfer any message in your mailbox to another
user after listening to it.
REMOTE ACCESS: A user can access his or her voice mail
from any touch-tone keypad, even outside of the office,
with the aid of helpful voice prompts.
2.4GHz FHSS digital operation
The KX-TG4000B base unit and each cordless handset communicate
in both directions using 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping Spread
Spectrum (FHSS) transmission. FHSS technology improves
calling range and clarity, and eliminates cross talk.
Because it rapidly changes transmission frequencies
within the 2.4GHz bandwidth, this cordless system helps
reduce the possibility of eavesdropping.
Dual caller ID with call waiting
Dual caller ID with call waiting lets you view the name
and number of all incoming callers on either the base
unit or handset LCD--even if you're already on the line.*
This caller ID feature also stores up to 50 names on
the base unit (up to 30 names on each handset), with
direct callback capability. And thanks to caller ID
pager call, you can even program the phone to notify
your pager when you've received an incoming call, and
to forward caller ID data to your pager's display. *Subscription
to caller ID services required.
Flexibility and convenience
Several features on the KX-TG4000B add even greater
flexibility and convenience to your cordless telephone
system:
- 3-line multifunction backlit LCD screen on both
the base unit and handset clearly display caller
ID data without scrolling. The LCD also features
6 icons that show operating status including the
phone lines in use.
- 4-line operation with 3-way conferencing lets
you and 3 other users make separate calls at the
same time where 4 lines are installed. You can also
conference 2 outside calls together with a single
system handset, or conference 2 system handsets
together with one outside call.
- 2-way intercom/paging You can call any other extension
in the system from the base unit or a handset. Or
you can page the entire group from the base unit
with the touch of a button.
Additional features
- Phone directory and dialer: Store up to 100 frequently
called numbers on the base unit (up to 50 on each
handset) in an alphabetical directory.
- Digital duplex speakerphone: Digital circuitry
in the base unit helps reduce echo and the dropout
effect for more natural sounding conversations.
We've also included 8-step volume control on the
speakerphone, for your listening convenience.
- High capacity Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery:
offers twice the capacity of a regular (Ni-Cd) rechargeable
battery. It fully recharges in 8 hours.
